TYPES OF CONVERSIONS...

Full conversion of an integral single garage...

Being either integral or part-integral in many house designs, single integral garage conversions are very popular with homeowners, as they’re relatively inexpensive to convert with minimal disruption to the day to day life of the home. Typically no planning is required and no architectural fees are incurred. Start to finish, a full conversion would take about ten working days to complete.

Part conversion of an integral single garage...

This type of garage conversion is extremely popular with homeowners as you get the best of both worlds. As with full garage conversions, they’re relatively inexpensive to adapt with minimal disturbance to the daily routine of the home. Again, as with full garage conversions, usually, no planning is required and no architectural fees are incurred.

More often than not, the objective with part garage conversions is to create additional living space with the advantage of handy storage space too.

A typical scenario would be to convert the back of the garage with a dividing partition wall near the front of the garage and the existing garage door would be left in situ.

Start to finish, a part conversion would take about 6 - 8 working days to complete.

Double integral garage conversions...

This type of conversion is usually a variation of a single integral garage conversion in respect of cost and red tape.

However, there is generally more work involved with these types of garage conversions. Also, there is a greater scope with the design and use of the existing space.

Therefore, it is very difficult to associate general costing with these types of garage conversions.

We would advise you contact us or call us on 07870 794199 to arrange an appointment to discuss your ideas for this type of garage conversion. This way we can provide you with a better idea of what work is necessary.

Detached single garage...

This type of conversion is usually a variation of a single integral garage conversion, however, would generally require more work in respect of insulating etc. Also, other issues such as planning may be relevant to this type of garage conversion.

For instance, you may require the building of a link from the house to the garage. If you are thinking of converting your detached single garage we would be delighted to hear from you to advise you further on your project.
